What’s with the name Graceworks?
It says in 2 Timothy 1 vs 9
God who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began
and again in Ephesians 2:10
For we are God’s [own] handiwork (His workmanship),recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live].
These verses tell us that before the dawn of time when our Creator was at work, He had already planned to call us into His Kingdom and chose us for His own purposes. And God has chosen to work through His body which he calls His Church of which Jesus is the head.
We are given unmerited favour through Christ (Grace) regardless of our own performance!
GOD DOES NOT LOVE US ANY LESS OR ANY MORE FOR WHAT WE HAVE DONE!
Jesus was gifted to us, to free us from the incredibly hard and impossible task of following the law to the letter!
WOW! Just try and get your head around that for a minute!
As a Christian it has taken me 12 years to understand that, and while I am not there yet on understanding the depths of Christ’s grace i know that i know ….GRACE…works! It is the only way! It is the new covenant…it is Jesus Himself! He suffered all that pain, and completed His finished work….FOR US!
“Religion” is a key reason for disagreement between God’s people in the world today! I wouldn’t say I follow a religion I would say I follow Jesus! Grace (Jesus) is the true reason we can be reconciled to God, it’s the only way and He loves us all so very much. Grace, most definitely works….really there is no other better way of functioning or working, other than through Christ, in relationship with the one true living God! One meeting with Jesus will change your life…..coming to Him has no judgement, no laws to abide by, no condemnation, no preference over you or the next person, just….. Grace!
After receiving the true revelation of Jesus’ Grace and already being fully immersed in God’s calling and vision for me, here in Dover, it felt right that the marketplace ministry that He was building in for me to manage was to be called Graceworks Ministries.
